Exist Inspired Art

Art made to play with your imagination and evoke changes in consciousness. Art inspired by stories and mystical life experiences. (Circa 2015 - 2018)

My art from this period explores the intersection of visionary, surrealist, and symbolist art; deeply informed by my spiritual upbringing. I am drawn to the dreamlike imagery and exploration of the subconscious in surrealism, as well as the use of allegory and symbolism to express complex ideas in symbolism. Visionary art, which transcends the physical world and portrays a wider vision of awareness, including spiritual or mystical themes, is a genre that I am particularly interested in.

I use bright, saturated colors to create a sense of otherworldliness or transcendence. I also depict fantastical or dreamlike scenes, which may be populated by mythical creatures, religious figures, or other elements that do not exist in the physical world. My personal experiences, such as religious investigation or entheogen-induced hallucinations, have inspired some of my work from this period. However, my goal is to create art that is both personal and universal, speaking to a larger audience through the symbols and images I use.

Visionary art has a long history, dating back to the ancient world. Some of the earliest examples of visionary art can be found in the art of ancient Egypt, Greece, and India. Visionary art has been produced by artists from all over the world and from all walks of life. Some notable examples of visionary artists include Hilma af Klint, William Blake, Hieronymus Bosch, Morris Graves, Emil Bisttram, and Gustave Moreau.
