About Mira Clark
“Art is one of the most innately human abilities we possess. It is a gateway to the imagination, unlocking vistas of possibility and providing a vital bridge to understanding in the face of adversity. Through art, we tap into the deepest aspects of our shared humanity, forging connections that transcend barriers. Art speaks to our deeper self, offering us a glimpse of what is possible when we open our hearts and minds to one another. As we create and consume art, we transcend the boundaries that separate us, discovering new perspectives and forging meaningful connections. ”
BIO:
Mira Clark is a lifelong art enthusiast with a passion for travel and studying art from around the world. Her experience in the field includes designing logos, creating Ferrari illustrations on a commission basis, live painting at several arts festivals, participating in community arts projects, mentoring youth in the arts, and teaching a High School Mural Class at the Ananda Living Wisdom School. For the past seven years, Mira has dedicated herself to coordinating and organizing the "Visibility Through Art Initiative," a local project that is a collaboration between Nevada County artists and the Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan Tribe. As an advocate for community building through art, Mira is committed to creating bridges between people and collaborating with other artists. Mira's artwork is a unique blend of photorealism and fantasy surrealism that evokes a sense of wonder and awe in those who view it. Her primary artistic purpose is to inspire inquiry and social and environmental awareness and to promote cultural growth through art. Mira's unwavering passion for the arts is fueled by her belief in the power of the arts to build bridges across diverse communities and impact social change.
Artist Statement:
I strongly believe in the power of storytelling through mixed-media artworks to impart cultural knowledge and promote positive social change. My work explores the interconnectedness between humanity and the natural world, with a focus on local landscapes and waterways, such as the Yuba River. Through my art, I aim to inspire inquiry, social and environmental justice, and awareness of the beauty and importance of nature. I also explore ecofeminist themes and celebrate the divine feminine and our kinship with nature. My motivation to create comes from a desire to share personal experiences and inspirations, and I love bringing meaningful intentions and dreams to life for others. My style combines photorealistic techniques with elements of fantasy and surrealism, resulting in deeply personal and meaningful projects such as marriage invitations, Ketubah illustrations, portraits, and personal vision paintings. Through my work, I seek to create a more connected, empathetic, and just society.
